The Beneficial System
The epoxy polyurethane solid colour system can last approximately 5-7 years without repair, but will include a pigmented polyurethane maintenance coat. This garage floor coating is usually a two-coat, thin film system with thicknesses varying from 4 to 20 mils. It’s sprayed on with a roller or an airless sprayer.
The Most Effective System
The epoxy Chipstone device would last roughly 7-12 years until requiring a transparent polyurethane repair coat. One pigmented primer coat of epoxy; a pigmented paint coat with a partial/light broadcast of vinyl chips onto the wet epoxy; and a single coat of transparent polyurethane for safety are common components of this epoxy garage floor device. The thickness is between 20 and 30 mils.
The Most Effective System
Until requiring a repair coat of polyurethane, the epoxy Granitex device will last up to 12-15 years without having any repair. One pigmented primer coat, a pigmented paint coat with a 100 percent/full broadcast of vinyl chips, and two coats of transparent polyurethane are common for this epoxy floor coating.

Surface planning is critical to the installation’s long-term performance. Contaminants that should interact with bonding must be removed from all surfaces to be coated. To reach a profile close to 120 grit sandpaper, concrete must be acid-etched, shot-blasted, or diamond-ground. The concrete surface can be tested for gaps and cracks after it has been prepared. Patching can be done if there are a lot of gaps or fractures. After the planning is over, the installation will begin.
Granitex Epoxy Garage Floor System Installation:
1. Prepare the surface, fix any holes, and apply one coat of pigmented epoxy primer.
2. Test, prep, and roll one coat of pigmented epoxy over the prepared region after the epoxy primer has dried. At a time, work in 10×10 or 12×12 bits. Distribute vinyl chips onto damp epoxy when it is already wet. Ascertain that the surface is fully covered. Allow to dry entirely until all parts have been sealed.

Both epoxy garage surface coatings can be quickly washed by mopping, hosing, or even “swiffering” with soft liquid detergents. Grease, liquids, and the majority of additives would not smear or penetrate onto the epoxy coating.
